Heroes Con was a great experience for me. I met a lot of great creators and got to talk shop with people I never would have if I was still back in El Paso as a security guard. I got some really helpful portfolio reviews from some of my favorite artists and I feel jazzed up and excited to work again. I'm currently on a project now that I can't really discuss, but I promise to start putting up new content and art work soon. For the moment though, here are 2 short one page comics about weird little things that happened to me that I thought would be fun to share.

Crime Horror Page 1 Pencils
Page one of the pencils for the crime horror comic. I tried to approach this like I wasn't going to ink it (even though I will). I got a tip from Jerome OpeƱa on approaching finished pencils with the aim of coloring over them. Overall it turned out well. 2 more to go!

Crime Short Thumbnails
These are thumbnails for a crime comic I'm going to do as portfolio pieces for Heroes Con this weekend. I'll try to have the pencils and inks posted up as soon as I can finish them.
The story is about a drug cartel hitman named Angel whose chosen profession raises a lot of ill will. The idea is to combine a crime noir style comic with the tastes of flavors of Paranormal Activity, where your actions strengthen the things we cannot see. It's nothing occult but I do have some fun bits planned. Anyhow, here is a quick and sorely needed update, showing the beginning of the comic process for me.
